Between the compressor house and the tools sits the demand side of the system: regulators, hoses, nozzles and habits. This is where well-made 7-bar air gets wasted at the point of use, through unregulated drops feeding tools that need far less, open pipes used as brooms, and applications that should never have used compressed air at all. Demand-side discipline costs almost nothing and typically returns several percent of the whole system's energy, and this lesson covers its three fronts.
