A control loop can only be as good as the measurement it acts on. A sensor reading a degree high does not cause a small error; it causes the whole system to hold the wrong temperature, precisely and reliably, wasting energy around the clock while every dial says everything is fine. Temperature sensors are the most numerous measurement in any building, and understanding their types, their placement, and above all their drift is how you keep the loops honest. This lesson covers all three.
