Process & Industrial Heat Recovery
Recovering waste heat from industrial processes, equipment placement, retrofits.

Industrial processes are the richest waste heat sources of all: ovens, dryers, furnaces, kilns and washing plant reject heat by the hundreds of kilowatts, often continuously, often at high grade. On a manufacturing site the process exhausts frequently dwarf the boiler flue and the chiller condenser combined, and because many processes run around the clock, the timing match that troubles other recovery projects is often already solved. This closing lesson covers the main process sources, works two industrial examples, and gathers the variables that decide whether a process recovery project pays.
