Commissioning Protocol & Planning

Commissioning that is not planned is just a hopeful walk round the plant room. A commissioning protocol turns the intent of the previous lesson into a defined exercise: what will be checked, how, against what pass mark, by whom, and recorded in what form. Without it, disputes are guaranteed ("that was not in scope"), acceptance is subjective, and the findings vanish because nobody wrote them down. This lesson covers the elements of a commissioning plan and the standards that give it authority.
