HVAC commissioning is where the plan meets the plant. It verifies four things about a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system: that the right amount of air and water reaches every space, that pressures match design, that sensors read true, and that setpoints are what the design intended. Each has a standard procedure and a numeric acceptance criterion, and each catches a class of fault that would otherwise cost energy and comfort for the building's life. This lesson walks the on-site HVAC checks in the order they are usually done.
