You've learned that maintenance and energy efficiency are inseparable — that equipment at its design condition uses the least energy, and that fouling, wear, leaks and control drift quietly push it up. This capstone puts you in the energy manager's chair, deciding what to maintain, when, how, and where to spend a limited budget for the most energy and reliability. The thread through every case: maintenance is an energy measure, not just a breakdown-avoidance one. The skill isn't fixing a specific fault — the system capstones do that — it's the strategy: spotting the false economy of deferral, matching the maintenance approach to each asset, optimising intervals, reading the KPI trends, and directing effort where it protects the most energy.
