Sizing a PV system means matching the array to the available space, the site conditions, and, crucially, the building's own electricity demand. A well-sized system maximises value; a poorly sized one exports cheap power at midday that it could have used itself. This lesson covers capacity and yield, orientation and tilt, the disproportionate damage done by shading, and the sizing-to-demand decision that dominates the economics.
